Mirror, Mirror on the wall
Who can you pick a fight with today?
Asking that question is already the start
First take a look at yourself
Look deep into your eyes
Go to the depths of your soul
What bothers you about others?
There is the answer to what you need
To change about yourself
For you see only what you have already learned
Now take that further and bother no one else
Work on yourself
Be kind and loving
Look deeper still into the mirror
See the goodness you behold
Take that out of your pocket and spread it around
Make others feel valued and appreciated
When the angry green monster comes to boil again
Send it packing by loving yourself more
Stand in goodness and let it surround your whole being
Work from inside out instead of slashing out
You will soon see the world in a whole new light
The Light that God has created shines within you too
Within each of us is a lantern
A beacon shining bright
It guides us to Him
In the quiet reflection of loving yourself
As you are, then others
Although you do not always agree with others
Judge then not for He will in due time
When time seems to stand still
We all get there, no need to hasten fate
His love is the greatest of all.
