Homemade Dog Treats – Egg Quiche Muffins

Dog treats are often expensive to buy, and many store-bought versions contain questionable or even toxic ingredients. Try making your own natural, healthy treats at home instead!

Here’s an example of Egg Quiche Dog Treats I make — nutritious, simple, and delicious enough for you to enjoy too!

Ingredients
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 apple (thinly sliced or finely chopped)
  • Ground ginger - I use Light House brand or fresh
  • Parsley = I use Light House brand or fresh
  • Mozzarella or marble cheddar cheese

Optional:
Dogs like variety too - change up your ingredients - ideas:
  • peas and carrots
  • chicken or beef chunks
  • broccoli or cauliflower diced

Supplies
  • Muffin tin that makes 6 muffins
(Double the recipe if using a 12-muffin tray)

Directions
  • Beat the eggs in a bowl.
  • Pour the beaten eggs into the muffin tray.
  • Add a few slices of apple to each muffin (Share the rest of the apple with your dog)
  • Sprinkle a pinch of ginger and parsley on top of each.
  • Add a bit of cheese into each muffin.
  • Bake at 380°F (193°C) for 15 minutes
  • Let cool on a rack before serving.

Storage
  • Keep refrigerated.
  • They won’t last long — and yes, you can eat them too!

Yield
  • 6 muffins
