"Of utmost importance with canine cancer is having a hearty appetite, that which my dog certainly has never faultered on." Maria Lisa Polegatto
"Since I was a puppy, my Mom has been telling me that she loves me very much and that I am beautiful everyday. I know she's with me through all the good times and the hard times too. It keeps me feeling pawsitive. We have had and still have lots of hugs, snuggles and belly rubs along the way. She sings to me too - I don't have the heart to tell her she's off a pitch or two here and there but I'm getting used to it and she's trying so hard. This emotional stuff is stressful and rough at times but it helps to know I have people who care so much about me by my side. Whiskey Polegatto
"When cooking my dog haddock, I use low heat and use extra water. The meat I add to her food, the liquid I strain to use in the morning and evening to add flavor for her pre-breakfast and bedtime smoothie. Liquid is important to keep your dog hydrated." Maria Lisa Polegatto

"It is in the moments we sit in silence that we can find our greatest joys and voice in the stillness. Let the ego fall away to disburse the fear so the Light and strength within you can rise up and take hold for a brighter tomorrow." Maria Lisa Polegatto
"What is the easiest yet hardest thing for a human to do that animals do so easily? Love, but not just love on a regular basis, I mean love unconditionally to the deepest parts of their soul and share that love with others, even without people knowing it. That's why I love being near animals. The incredible energy they share with others." Maria Lisa Polegatto

"When dealing with canine cancer, you have to take the good with the bad. For all Whiskey has had bad days, she has also had good days where she skips around the block on her tippy toes like she was a puppy again. God bless the good days and thankfully she's had more good days than bad." Maria Lisa Polegatto

I am happy to announce that I have had some tumor lump shrinkage. I am still working hard on my journey to heal further and using many modalities to convince this cancer it's got to move out for good! While I am enjoying a good appetite, going for walks and getting massages, this cancer still sucks sometimes. I am staying positive though. Thank you to everyone who is helping me on this journey. I really appreciate all the support, healing energy and love." Whiskey "Sugar Plum" "Darlin" "Hun" "Furry Love" Polegatto
"My dog loves to listen to music - the healing drum, Tibetian singing bowls, bamboo flutes and her favorite - the sound of the ocean waves washing upon the shores with love to remind her of our frolics at the beach on warm summer days." Maria Lisa Polegatto
