Nature often sits in silence
The quiet reverence
Announces its presence
But when death and destruction toll
Nature can wait no longer
The tears well up and flow out to the world
Like the child we all once were
Nature lets the tears go and flows
First the dew, then the mist
Often silent as the hurts wells up inside
But when the hurt can hold no more
The winds blow, sheets fall, puddles mount
Cleansing the world as it flows
Listen to the wind as it howls
It cries out to release all that wells inside
We hide as it tears apart its soul
Unleashing and releasing
And when its rein is known
It retreats and calms and soothes its soul
Leaving behind the beauty hidden in its sorrow
As we stand with tears at its authority
Mightier than we can ever be
As it sprouts to help us recover
As the tears of nature recoup its soul
And dries up the puddles into itself
The mighty winds turn to breeze
And allow us to again live in ease.
