Have you heard about Chakras before? We all have Chakras; all living things do. Chakras are vital energy points in the body that vibrate for our best health. Sometimes these can get blocked or stagnant. Having your Chakras in proper vibration helps you heal your body and be more in a state of balance and harmony. |
7 Main Chakras
I have included a chart to show you where the Chakras are located. While there are many major, minor and macro Chakras, we are going to focus on the following 7 major Chakras.
1. Root Charka
2. Sacral Chakra
3. Solar Plexus Chakra
4. Heart Chakra
5. Throat Chakra
6. Third Eye Chakra
7. Crown Chakra
You can help your Chakras vibrate better with the following essential oils. Use just one oil for each of the Chakras. Some of the oils overlap so you can pick that one for multiple Charkas or use all different ones.

Suggestions of Essential Oils for these Chakras
When using oils that are not already diluted, ie blends, you should use Fractionated Coconut Oil or lotion on your skin to dilute the oils especially if you have sensitive skin. You can start from the Root and go up to the Crown or vise versa. It is your choice. Let your intuition guide you.
1. Root Chakra (use your feet or lower back for this Chakra)
sandalwood, patchouli, cypress, cedarwood, frankincense, clary sage, vetiver, cardamon, clove,, ginger
2. Sacral Chakra
clary sage, geranium, jasmine, melissa, neroli, ylang ylang, tangerine, rose, vetiver, patchouli

juniper, frankincense, sandalwood, fennel, vetiver, cedarwood, lavender, helichrysum, myrrh,
ginger, lemon, lemongrass, black pepper, rosemary, marjoram, oregano, thyme, peppermint, blue tansy
4. Heart Chakra
rose, geranium, bergamot, neroli, melissa, sandalwood, ylang ylang, jasmine, lavender
5. Throat Chakra
lavender, Roman Chamomile, spearmint, frankincense, cypress, geranium, spruce, sandalwood
6. Third Eye Chakra (brow)
frankincense, black spruce, rose, rosemary, clary sage, oregano, marjoram, thyme, lavender
7. Crown Chakra (top of head)

When placing oils on your Chakra locations do so mindfully with intention of healing and balancing that Chakra. You can do all 7 of the Chakras or focus on a particular one if you prefer.

Always use the highest grade essential oils as you are using them to help your vibrations/energy return to a state of harmony. Be mindful of any allergies you have to any foods for the oils you choose. Always keep your oils in a cool area. Carrier oils can be fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, any oil that has no additives, lotions without any toxic chemicals.

- Pick one oil for each Chakra locations. Take a glass of water with you to drink after the session.
- Choose a relaxing and comfortable area where you will not be disturbed where your can preferable lay down. It's quite alright for your pet to be in the room but leave the door open so they can leave if they want to. Some like the scent of oils but don't let them lick any oils.
- Play some relaxing music, ie ocean waves, bamboo flutes, singing bowls, drums, uplifting music, classical. The music should be something you like and fill you with a feeling of love and gratitude.
- Put your oils close by where you can reach them or have someone help pass them to you. Leave the caps off the bottles so you can easily use them.
- Mindfully decide if you want to start from the Crown to Root or vice versa. Take some deep relaxing slow breaths. Relax for several minutes before you get started. To ground and balance yourself and relieve physical aches, start at the Root Chakra and go up. To raise your physical and spiritual energy, start at the Crown Chakra and work downward. Do what feels right for you. There is no right or wrong way.
- Start by touching the location and putting your finger on the bottle of the oil and then placing the oil on the location with some lotion. You can apply lotion to all of the areas first if you like. Rub the oil in a clockwise swirl on the Chakra.
- Continue to do all the locations stopping to relax and inhale and exhale at each one. Take in a deep breath, hold for 3-5 seconds and release the breath with the intention of releasing any toxins and healing your body.
- When you have completed each Chakra, stay lying down, close your eyes and relax for at least 5 to 10 minutes or until you feel like you are ready to get up. Be mindful, ie allow all your thoughts to drift away, they will still be there when you are done your healing session. This is time for you.
- Become aware of your surroundings, open your eyes, look around and get up slowly. Drink a glass of water and have a healthy snack, ie smoothie, fruit.
- Journal any feelings, thoughts or visions you have during the session and during the week that follows.
