Thank you Blessed Lord Jesus for my furry love, Whiskey. Thank you for the nights I woke from sleep to see her sleeping by my side, for the mornings when I awoke and saw her eyes gazing into mine, clear and deep to her soul, for her whiskers that tickled my check, for her nose, so wet and comforting, for her fur, soft and plush, for the tumble fur balls that never ceased and always reminded me of her love (Goldens not just shed but molt twice a year), for the golden flecks in her hair that sparkled in my heart with love, for her tail that wagged and thumped on the floor when she saw us, for using her paw to reach out and touch me when she wanted to get closer and snuggle, for holding my hand with her paw and squeezing with her paw to hold on tighter to let me know she loves me, for being a wise grandmother dog always silently voicing her opinion and sighs of approval and disapproval, for teaching me things too many to mention about life, love, massage and happiness, for being so patient with me while I made her meals, for letting me know when she wanted fresh water by sitting next to her bowl and sighing loudly, for letting me know when she wanted to go outside to play, for bringing me through things I didn't know I could get through, for making friends along our walks, for the many trips we made together both near and far and being the best travel companion, for leaning for the turns on drives, for always sitting next to me in the car and at home, for being a therapy dog for not just seniors but to us, for snuggling up when we read and researched leading me to the right articles, for coming to work with me, for barking when there was something to bark at, for barking like a lunatic when someone she wasn't sure about approached my car, for the many walks we had together, for stopping to smell the flowers on our walks like rose buds, lilac and lavender not just the grass, trees, poles and puddles, for sniffing a pole until she felt an oncoming stranger was ok to pass, for the pure kindness and compassion within her soul, for the 14+ years we had together, for being by my side in sickness and health, the many hugs and kisses she put up with from me morning, noon and night, the first and last soul I saw every day, now a memory I treasure in my heart, my dreams, my soul, we will never part even though you are physically away, your spirit walks with me pointing me in the direction to our memories as evidenced by the many signs in nature you put before me. Thank you for holding her in your arms until I can hold her again. So blessed was I to have had such a precious love in my life. It is devastating to have lost such a love but it would have been more devastating to have never known such a precious love. For a love so precious never dies, it waits for you on the other side. God of all power and might God of all healing energy and goodness Come and spread your healing blessings Over everyone reading this day and night. Maria Lisa Polegatto December 24, 2015 I believe in God, our Father Almighty Although I can not see you Lord, I know you watch over me I trust in you as you lead me on my journey You stand before me mightier than mankind Creator of Heaven; Snow white doves, choirs of angels, wings fluttering with delight Your majesty bestowed upon the pure of heart I try to imagine the beauteous visions of the light; paradise and earth; In the beginning you created Adam and Eve, your miracles stretch far and wide The dark abyss transformed into day and night, oceans roar with cleansing duty Twinkling stars at night and waltzing clouds in the sunlight I believe in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord; Jesus is truth; the one who saves The Son of God, full of truth and grace, sent to save us sinners One with God the Father and the holy Spirit; one holy Trinity He was conceived by the power of the holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, Mary, embraced by the holy Spirit, truly blessed A most precious gift; a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manager No earthly pleasure can replace the blessing of the new born King He suffered under Pontius Pilate, The power of darkness was the final test A single kiss of death betrayed, the kiss that lead to life ever after Just as the crow cried thrice, thrice Pilate tried to reason as sinners turned from the Light Was crucified, died, and was buried I lower my head in shameful sorrow, you rejoice the will of God be done In the darkness of day, the Son of God proclaimed Laid to rest in the rock-hewn tomb, buried with the scars of innocence He descended to the dead; on the third day He rose again; He rose again, flesh, bone and spirit, one body, the Son of God The Holy Shroud; a gift left for us, an image of Jesus laid to rest The Light overcomes the darkness He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; Forty days after resurrection, He took his rightful place The Son of God rejoices in the glory of God and reigns on high He gives freely to save us all He will come again to judge the living and the dead Let those who have judged be judged, our sins exposed I will suffer from the pain of knowing I am alone to blame I stand as one before you, you already know my name I believe in the holy Spirit, We are temples for the Spirit to dwell for the sanctification of grace I will serve with the fruits of the holy Spirit with pleasure, the greatest of these; love I will use the gifts of the holy Spirit to serve and help humanity the Holy Catholic Church, God’s Word is taught to us freely I kneel and bow my head before you Lord, I pray The Lamb of God takes away sins of the world and grants us peace The communion of saints, Let us pray and do good works to help Holy Souls enter the kingdom of God Unite with heaven and purgatory with prays of intercession Let us join together in the Risen Christ the forgiveness of sins, Though the world is full of temptation to sin, I pray through grace, I sin no more I shall repent and allow my forgiving spirit to forgive those who have offended me Please forgive my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting Rise Up! Look not among the dead to find the living ! Although darkness may creep in, despair not; the Light of Jesus overcomes all I chose the Light Amen Amen. Thank you for my family and pets, both past and present, that have helped shape my life, for my friends, the animals, plants, trees and all living creatures that help evolve this world. I am thankful for the many blessing in my life, the ones I see, the ones I didn't realize were or have yet to realize are. Thank you for allowing me to be me without judgement and loving me always. Amen" Maria Lisa Polegatto |
