Broken people ?

I read this quote posted by Spirit Science: "It's always the broken souls that are always trying to help others" and I posted it on my facebook page -  and then I thought the word "broken" could instead be a word like: compassionate, kind-hearted, loving, understanding, caring........because that's the kind of hearts "broken" people have :)
