Great Egret

13/5/2018

A Great Egret, a rare find in Nova Scotia, Canada, likely blown in with a storm in April, 2018.Great Egret
The bird I saw at the ocean is actually a Great Egret, rare to find in Nova Scotia. Tilly and I were out hiking the ocean for Marine Animal Response Society which lead us to this guy, beautiful, but a little off course for Canada! Another sign of climate changing the environment.

Remember, stay safe in nature and keep nature safe.

You're so lucky because you got a chance to see a Great Egret. They are rarely seen in Nova Scotia! By the way, you're right. We need to protect our environment as much as how we protect ourselves. We need to protect the habitat of these animals because they balance the eco system out. Without them, there will be a major change among the cycle and this might affect us big time. Always prioritize what's easy or people and animals!

Hello, Thank you! Yes, it was great to see the bird in person but sad that he was blown off course in a storm. I hope he found his way back home :)
