All packed and ready for a jellyfish count this weekend!!! Last weekend we counted a generous supply of 53 jellyfish!!! Wow, that was a lot of measuring and documenting on one short part of the shoreline! One was even 15"!!! Did you know turtles travel north in the summer to eat jellyfish? It's a part of the circle of life in the natural world. If you live in or are traveling in Atlantic Canada, join in and send your jellyfish sighting info to the Jellyfish Monitoring Project. Beware though, while jellyfish look harmless, they can have quite a harmful sting! Have a safe and jellyfish sting free weekend!!! Maria Lisa Polegatto
