Pets & Grief: Animal Wings

7/2/2015

Pets and Grief. As animals are more spiritually evolved than humans, they get their wings before us too. Humans come to earth to learn, while animals come to earth to teach us what we need to know to elevate ourselves to our next spiritual level. Animals communicate with their mind, body and soul. They feel and sense energy all around them and can see particles the human eye can not detect. Have you ever watched your animal watch something in the air that you can not see but you know they can? A what, a who, a where, we sit and wonder. Even in death, animals are still teaching us.

Today my dream was different. It happened in the day. It was full of information that carried on all day. I wrote and wrote as the words spilled out from deep within my soul.

I was sitting with my fur baby, just another day, when all of a sudden I remembered another that had gone not long ago.  He came to let me know he was full of wit and vigor and how his journey unraveled for all of us to know. Here his story unfolds.

Sometimes it's without notice that God has come to call an animal home needing him for a reason only he and God know why. For God has whispered in his ear and asked his permission with a set out mission that only he can fill. While God could use another, only he could really do and the animals are happy to oblige. For all animals have special gifts and sometimes they must depart quickly to help out with their gifts. The reason their bodies grow at faster rates is that they are older souls than humans and their wisdom of the secrets of life out grows their bodies.

This also means, at times, that their health wears away and this too is part of their mission. Sometimes it has to be that way even though it grieves us and them so.  He understands when the vet has come that time is drawing near. His mighty bones are brittle, his heart is full of love but through it all he is tired and worried about the struggle you have endured for him. He is thankful for the time you spent sending him your love, feeding him, caring for his tired bones and seeing him as a loving spirit. More grateful than you'll ever know.

Dawn Begins Anew

As the day is nearing over, the dawn begins anew. He has recognized his time has come, for animals know this so they can prepare us. God has carved out personally his mission with him a time ago. Just like humans, animals have missions on earth that run along side humans. To find your mission you must look deep within your heart.

The Angels come to circle round and heal his weary soul.  Haniel, Angel of great joy, peace, love and beauty, senses the great sadness he feels at leaving you and stays by his side all that day to help him understand the when and how as his spiritual journey begins.

Approach To The Bridge

Upon approach to the Bridge the rainbow glows with radiance beyond measure. The clouds part and all around is fluff that looks like furry mist as they are lifted to Heaven. The path draws them in with love. Peace and joy abound as the heavenly choir sings, "Alleluia, Alleluia". He hasn't felt comfort like this since the first day he met you, when he heard your voice call his name and take him home to live ,you.

As they stand at the Bridge, he hesitates and looks back for he doesn't want to leave you. His head and heart are hanging low. He worries about you being without him feeling lost and lonely.  Haniel notices and stops right there to comfort him and let him there is great joy in Heaven; forever joy. Haniel reassures him he can see you once he crosses the Bridge and that he can visit you in spirit form but he must cross the Bridge to activate his wings for him to do this. He looks up at Haniel and senses the joy he bestows. He looks back at you and off with a great leap he runs across the Bridge so he can start his new journey quickly and go peek in on you, especially when you are sleeping.

Across The Bridge

Now across the Bridge, the rest of the Angels greet him, one by one, they kneel down and hug him, give him belly rubs and ear massages.  He sees the other animals playing in the rolling fields, the whales the seals and walruses basking in the sea, the butterflies, the bees and the flowers dancing in the sunshine.  The unicorns and Pegasus kneel forward and bow to greet him while the elephants raise their trunks to trumpet great joy of his arrival. The furry cherubs frolic about teasing the other animals in loving delight as they wait their turn to be fur babies on the earthly plane. The other animals patiently wait with wagging tails to greet and welcome their friend home again. They roll and cuddle, jumping over each other to say "hello". They run and chase each other.

Angel Wings

At last he sees the sign "Angel Wings" and just then Ariel, the guardian healing Angel of animals, comes to greet him and invite him past the bridge and into nature. His eyes open wide at the magical sights. He is mesmerized at the thought of getting  his wings. She asks how his mission went on earth and he tells her he wished he had more time. She tells him he did just what he was sent to do and as he looks around he sees his life review of all the wonderful things he did with you.  He sees how his healing ways opened up human hearts and taught them love, compassion and to help one another. The sadness he felt at leaving earth is replaced with humble loving grace.  Ariel smiles sweetly at him; his healing now complete and she gives him back his memories of when he was before in Heaven to remind him this is home. He delights in the memories as his smiling eyes look back at her and his eyebrows bat up and down as the visions of yesterdays continue to appear before him. How precious are the memories he forever holds.

Just then he sees his reflection with wonder of the magic of the wings; illuminous and Light. He tries to touch them with his nose by leaning up real close.  His wings are invincible as he is too. He proudly wears his wings and is eager to remember their secrets so he can come back and comfort you. For it's his choice to spread his wings as he made it there without them. He had them all along safely tucked inside his heart so pure with love.

Love Has No End

For us it seems like eternity but all has happened in the blink of an eye for there is no time in Heaven, no clocks, no watches, no hurry which he soon remembers why........ love has no end. Love simply stretches to encompass all so he can be by your side. Love is the opening to get to the other side. Once  activated, it flourishes and grows. It emits a beacon of energy that sets out into the world. Watch your dog come nearer when your love over flows; they bask in that goodness for as long as you can hold it. That's how you connect with animals and only they can see the love that dances in the air.

In an instant his memory recalls about visits and ones for keeps. He peers across the Bridge and sees you cry. It makes him sad that you think you lost him but he will always be by your side. Sometimes God needs him more to help with his unique gifts but sometimes he can start anew again. He patiently waits until the right time to return to live on earth when he can be with you again. For every human and animal will meet again both in Heaven and on earth.

A Match Made In Heaven

In the meantime, he patiently searches the Heavens for the right friend to send along to you. This match must be perfect as only he will know when he has found the one that can fill the void deep within your soul. Unpressured by your grief he searches not just for a filler but for a forever to send along to you. It may be a puppy or senior dog, a shelter dog or a homeless dog but whomever he sends it will be the right one even if you don't know it. Once you  allow yourself to bond you will see why he has send this soul to you.  He needs you to learn so you can grow and evolve as human.

Have no fear that he will be sad to see you spend time with another. For he has sent you a new friend to comfort you as a gift for the love you gave to him. This will make him happy as he waits his turn to get back to you. For he has created a bond with you that will never end. Neither time nor distance can part the bond for fate has brought you both together. Your spirits forever melted together in the forge of love.

Fate

Fate attached by the finest strand of hair from his love to you. For when you find his dog hair, even after he is gone, it is his way of being with you. Like a feather from an Angel, a penny from a loved one, you may find his hair lying around....his way of leaving strands of love with you.

Cry not  for too long when he is gone for it stretches the bond longer for him to return. Yes, he grieves for you, as you do him, it is part of the healing process to reflect upon the happy memories. Instead remember the happy times; feel the love so the bond stays strong. For the love brings you back together. Send him your prayers that he fulfills his next mission with great dispatch for then he is closer to returning to you. Send him your hugs to carry him through.  For on his mission, great or small, you want him to succeed in health, safety and alert with strong mind. For in his dreams he is here by your side.

Visits

So when you awake from your deep slumber and look around not knowing why, know that he kissed you goodnight all the while trying not to wake you. Listen closely as you may just hear the slight hum of his wings guiding him back to you, feel the wet tickle of his nose on your cheek or see a slight twinkle of the glow of his luminous soul. Tell him that you love him either silently or in a whisper, although he already knows, he loves to hear your sweet voice, music to his soul.

Animals get their wings before humans for they love unconditionally. Love flows from within and beacons out to all who open to it.  Allow yourself to feel the love, allow your heart to open, allow your soul to delight in the Light. For he is with you always.

Maria, I am crying my eyes out right now after reading this.
I lost my precious Ruby 27 December 2014 which was also my daughters 17th Birthday.
She was my heart and soul and came everywhere with me.
I miss her so much and still cry for her.

Susan, grief is part of the healing process, tears cleanse, losing a fur baby is losing a best friend, keep her close in your heart with fond memories, sending you thoughts and prayers and blessings.

Seven weeks today since our beloved Sparky left us so suddenly. I smiled through tears while reading this because it is how I picture him. Thank you for putting the picture into words so beautifully.

Barbara, sometimes animals have to leave quickly but their love is eternally with us, may your tears wash away the shock and grief and bring forth memories fond and tender, blessings to you and Sparky.

Maria, very beautiful words. Sarah is my daughter. We had her Siberian Husky Leia with us. This dog was a member of our family. The grief for us was overwhelming and heartbreaking. I've never known such grief. Thank you for these beautiful words.

Janet, To me animals are furry spirits with pure hearts, no one understands until they love one - like your family with Leia. My furry blonde child is part Husky - it keeps her strong yet gentle. Many blessings to your family for loving Leia, a love that she will cherish forever.

This post popped up on my FB Memories yesterday, 2 years after it was written. I was grieving the loss of my beautiful fur baby, Sparky, who had left so suddenly in December.
Looking back at it today, I realize that the day it was written, 2/7/2015, was the day my new fur baby, Teddy, was being born. I have always felt that Sparky led us to the rescue organization where his mama gave birth to him and his puppy siblings. We joyously celebrated his 2nd birthday yesterday.

Oh, I'm so happy you have another fur baby, Teddy is so lucky to have you as was Sparky. They do send us signs and I believe you have your sign with the birth dates. My own new fur baby, Miss Tilly, was born on the same day (different year) than my Whiskey who I lost last year. It's so great when signs come to let us know they are ok. I'm so happy for you :) Happy Birthday to Teddy :)
