Bella: Butterfly Flutters

Butterfly. Monarch Butterfly. Bella lived deep in the lush green forests cocooned from the rest of the world. Until today she was oblivious to the sounds of the frogs croaking, the birds singing and the smells of the delights of the forest. But today was a special day. Today was Bella's day. She was ready to spread her wings and introduce herself to the world.

She gathered up all her might and bravery and stretched her newly formed legs. As the sun warmed the earth, water vapors filled the air.  Metamorphosis complete. Transformed and now emerged she was ready for the brightness of a new day.

The sun glistened on her soft skin as her wings fluttered and sparkled for the first time. She stretched her legs and walked forward balancing the tips that towered above her. As Bella munched on a salad of greenery she felt the world tug at her heartstrings with that special reason she was alive. Humbled by the sights and sounds, she spread her wings grateful for the chance to accomplish her mission.

The Dance

She was so excited to be alive she started to dance. She danced and danced and danced all day and well into the night. As she waltzed, she twirled and whirled around and all about. She jitterbugged and jived to the beat of her own heart as it beat within her tiny body.   All of her dancing was contagious. Bella was soon surrounded by her family. Her home was filled with the humming sounds of many wings all fluttering at once, ready to test out their newly formed wings.  What makes the wings so special is the magic of the Angels first touch to wake them into full flight.

The Journey

Traveling thousands of miles and kilometers by conserving her energy rising  up with the warmth and riding on the winds of speed and flight. Her cousins joined her flight coming as far away as Mexico; monarchs for life. Migration the mission as they crossed the borders of life spreading seeds of varieties to flourish and grow for our life. Iridescence and full of light Bella's message is to let us know when ecology is right.  Pollination and natural pest control are her specialties.  Small but mighty she can predict the changes in climate with her delicate life.

Treasures of Life

As I stop for a moment in the garden of life, out at the corner of my eye, a flicker of life. As white as the Light, soundless and mesmerizing fluttering delicately and dancing about. As I turned to watch, it turned me round and round. Resting here and there, it let me catch up as it then pranced about.  Using her antennae she came closer and closer to get my scent as she then landed on the largest nearby flower  to sip nature's sweet nectar with her proboscis reaching deep within the flower blossom's soul.

Not just a treasure of sight. A wonder of nature her body chemistry chases off predators and parasites and helps her find her soulmate. She uses her body in defense to protect not just herself for she naturally makes powerful medicine without even having to take flight.

Know you are never alone when the wings flutter about. For when there is one, there are more in flight. They come to tell you there is more to life. They bring you bees and diverse plants and other beings that provide healing and brighten your life.  Look around to find some of the secrets of life.

When our meeting is at end for these moments, she continues to dance spreading healing all around. As the iridescent wings flutter, magic abounds in the sweetness that follows.  Breathe in the sweetness and invite Bella to come play in your gardens. Soon you will see there is much more to life.
