I grew up in the country, love being in nature and growing a garden has always provided me with a sense of freedom and connection to the earth. Food is not just tasty; it is an essential human requirement. However, it is also a global concern in the processes of production to consumption.

Maria Lisa Polegatto - February 2024  Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education Entrepreneurial education is a familiar term to me; however, enterprise education is a term not so often heard. My first thought was what is the difference? Can I combine both? Would both make for a better entrepreneur? I need to find out more.
Maria Lisa Polegatto - February 2024  The planet we know is changing everyday and we need to be able to change with it to understand it, develop innovate solutions and implement them. While our world is changing our educational system is becoming more disconnected (Fullan & Langworthy, 2014). We need “learning partnerships” between students and teachers and deep learning tasks to restructure learning with the proper tools and resources in the midst of global technology that is also advancing at alarming rates compared to our educational system (Fullan & Langworthy, 2014).
Maria Lisa Polegatto - February 2024  Social Entrepreneurs: Entrepreneurship from a Critical Perspective With the current state of the economy and increasing prices of essential services, social entrepreneurs, needless to say individuals, are doing their best to find ways to support themselves and their families while also providing social support to their community. However, when entrepreneurism crosses over the line to neoliberalism, social issues can arise such as creating “gender, class and race inequality” (Lackéus, 2017).
