I thought we had
A chance at love
But it takes two
Me and you

Words unspoken
Truth unsaid
Love drifts apart
My heart broken

Love withdrawn
Stuck inside my heart
A heavy ball beating
Wrapped tight with love

Truth comes forth in silence
The shattering of the world
Around as I stand solo
I comfort myself without you

Our love was meant to share
To learn, to laugh, to grow
But it takes two
Me and you.
