![]() In life we look for the complexities instead of simplicities for healing our soul Healing occurs when we enter into stillness, awareness and unfolding emotions There is no better place to find this place of sweet serenity than nature Nature that offers us reminders Spirit is always near Healing occurs when we enter into stillness, awareness and unfolding emotions Consciousness beats to the vibration of love out into the world Nature offers us reminders that Spirit is always near I am conscious of the healing that binds my soul to God Consciousness beats to the vibration of love into the world I am surrounded with blessings brought forth from Spirit I am conscious of the healing that binds my soul to God I feel the energy of this living world swirl around in living color I am surrounded with blessings brought forth from Spirit I am recharged as my consciousness expands with loving healing I feel the energy of this living world swirl around in living color I choose to be conscious of God's gift of His unending love. Maria Lisa Polegatto May 1, 2017 ![]() Take me to the river That's where I belong Horse and buggy drawn Herbs and flowers grow As if strewn across the land Gazing at the stars above As they twinkle and smile Moon beams light my way Til the break of dawn In the wax and wane of life My cares are washed away In currents of the ebb and flow Til the sun bursts forth with color Dancing to and fro with innocence To light my heart aglow. Maria Lisa Polegatto March 24, 2017 ![]() I am but a butterfly So small in this great big world Set out of my cocoon I take to the world in flight Flying high above I see the world so finely I feel the changes as they come Fluttering about with grace and beauty Sending messages all about With seeds of the future flowing Holding life in delicate balance To and fro I dance in the quality of life. Maria Lisa Polegatto Feb 10, 2017 Nature often sits in silence
The quiet reverence Announces its presence But when death and destruction toll Nature can wait no longer The tears well up and flow out to the world Like the child we all once were Nature lets the tears go and flows First the dew, then the mist Often silent as the hurts wells up inside But when the hurt can hold no more The winds blow, sheets fall, puddles mount Cleansing the world as it flows Listen to the wind as it howls It cries out to release all that wells inside We hide as it tears apart its soul Unleashing and releasing And when its rein is known It retreats and calms and soothes its soul Leaving behind the beauty hidden in its sorrow As we stand with tears at its authority Mightier than we can ever be As it sprouts to help us recover As the tears of nature recoup its soul And dries up the puddles into itself The mighty winds turn to breeze And allow us to again live in ease. Maria Lisa Polegatto November 27, 2016 ![]() Beauty and innocence abound How it dives into nature and tells us all As the story unfolds Of how the trees created its branches And reached out with unending love How the leaves grew with that love And went forth into this world To nourish and flow All the while the tree Stands in silent wisdom Its roots stand firm It bends and it flows Never complaining Silent reverences grows While the bark looks weary and weak Each crack brings more strength No one knows the whole story As the rings go round and round In a never ending circle of life For when one grows, many more unfold Connecting in nature The silent beauty untold For no one hears of the stories The preservance, the struggles, the triumph For nature is focusing on healing This planet one root at a time And while we can't always see the beauty Or hear the constant chatter They speak tree language In spite of ourselves Bending and cracking to help us See the unending beauty That surrounds us Let us feel the glory of its spirit Surround us with love Let us go forth with the knowledge It imparts to the world Let us sit in silence Hearing the leaves speak as the flow As the story unfolds. Maria Lisa Polegatto Nov 10, 2016 ![]() To walk in nature Is to never be alone Senses alive, life revived Whispers of sweet messages Intermingle in the leaves As the trees reach out To each other and me The scent of wild roses As the dew beckons to me Surrounded by fresh fallen leaves As the summer breeze dances about Berries of blue in fields so rich As I lean in to dine And experience the pleasure Sweetness is truly divine The need to be gentle utmost Although nature is resilient One must remember We are only a visitor, not resident Before me I marvel Far and wide At all of the treasures God has spread out before my eyes. Maria Lisa Polegatto September 12, 2016 ![]() The fresh country air carries me away To a warm summer breeze Under a star studded sky Where crickets sing a song of love Soft glow of moonlight Along the ripple of waves The energy of close embrace of the sea Waltzing to the magical moments As they gently wash upon the shores of love. Maria Lisa Polegatto May 15, 2016 ![]() Out I was for a walk today Just round the bend When all of a sudden The joy upon your wings Spread out to captivate me As you danced upon the air My heart fluttered with awe How precious is your love Twirling and swirling in mid flight Your message I have received As pure and innocent As your iridescent wings It lightens up my heart. Maria Lisa Polegatto August 22, 2015 ![]() Nature so astounds me Even after all of these years How it can well up inside you And flow all about With grace and beauty Humility and perseverance With its strength to uphold All that is true and right Protecting us in spite of ourselves It carries on despite being trampled Run down, cut down, dug up, weeded out And yet it survives With its innocence intact Brighter and mightier than all Nurtured in the Divine Light. Maria Lisa Polegatto July 3, 2016 ![]() I so miss the water And all its charm Its sparkling beauty Refreshing and deep Within my soul it seeps As the water dries upon my arms The sands of salt fall away Each paddle digs deep into the depths To heal all the day has piled on As the sun sets low it dances It shimmers til dusk visits And as the sun fades So too do worries that need not be For into the depths they have fallen away Leaving me full of its treasures To sustain me for another day. Maria Lisa Polegatto July 4, 2016 If we would just leave nature alone
It would balance itself out And us with it Time and time again We stand up to nature And time and time again It teaches us truth, honor and justice It is mighty than us As it will always be And so shall we be humbled In its mighty presence As it renews itself each time the sun sets And springs forth in the fresh morning dew As it opens its heart Victorious and full of valor. Maria Lisa Polegatto June 4, 2016 Nature has spoken
Rejoice and be glad For when she is silenced So shall we be Instead let her live She is eager to share with us The glory of life. Maria Lisa Polegatto May 21, 2016 ![]() The call of the ocean The roar on the shore Won’t you come listen with me As the waves crash upon the shore It makes me yearn for more Like thunder in the distance it calls out to me Oh how the sea beckons to me God has given this gift to all who want to hear The sea birds fly above while seals in the waves frolic and play Bobbing and peeking along the shore as they watch from afar As I walk along the shore I feel the closeness of them in the sea All day the waves roll over the ocean floor They call as I watch from the shore The rising of the sea breathing in and out The wake of the waves rush like fingers gripping the sand First it comes to me, then rushes away The clouds in the distance change shape From bunnies to dragons, I see their mystical charm As I lay on the sand the roar calms and puts me to sleep The clean salt air surrounds and washes my soul I awake refreshed and ready to carry my load Through the days I long to hear the rush on the shore Leading me on and knowing it is there where I am at home As I walk in the current it tries to pull me in I am stronger for I’ve walked in the current before I stand firm and tall and wait for the current to give way I walk along the shores looking for the treasurers the sea gives up to me Some pebbles and sea shells and a carpet of seaweed cushion my way The call of the ocean carries me on Refreshed and renewed I am ready to enter the world Another day I will come back and sit near the ocean’s floor As I leave this place of peace, I know it will wait for me forever more God’s peace will come to me when I walk along His shores. by Maria Lisa Polegatto August 2007 |
