Charlie

Many lifetimes ago, Charlie stood along the shores
Head held high in silence as the wind whispered in his mane
While many are unfamiliar with his former existence
Proof remains in plain sight 
As he again prepares to gallop into life
Charlie will stand as a symbol, a sign, a message
The need among nations to unify and stand strong together
In a time of the rising up of the injustices in the world
It is a time more fit for kings to rule with the sword of hope, truth, and renewal
For better tomorrows for all citizens
Not just those who pave over to get their way
As Charlie's mane will again blow in the wind
So too, will protection and grace around him as he is watched over
A symbol of faith among nations
His presence will renew in the face of adversity
Even through the harshness of life
Bringing this world into brighter tomorrows
Standing tall yet humble to be called upon as faithful servant of God
As honor and justice will glorify Him
A protector of national treasures and for the unification of nations
As the sun sets, the moon rises, the tides rise and fall
Seasons have come and gone
Strong ties will bond together what man may never put asunder 
His message is clear to one and all
It is time to love one another.
