Tree Chatter

Beauty and innocence abound
How it dives into nature and tells us all
As the story unfolds
Of how the trees created its branches
And reached out with unending love
How the leaves grew with that love
And went forth into this world
To nourish and flow
All the while the tree
Stands in silent wisdom
Its roots stand firm
It bends and it flows
Never complaining
Silent reverences grows
While the bark looks weary and weak
Each crack brings more strength
No one knows the whole story
As the rings go round and round
In a never ending circle of life
For when one grows, many more unfold
Connecting in nature
The silent beauty untold
For no one hears of the stories
The preservance, the struggles, the triumph
For nature is focusing on healing
This planet one root at a time
And while we can't always see the beauty
Or hear the constant chatter
They speak tree language
In spite of ourselves
Bending and cracking to help us
See the unending beauty
That surrounds us
Let us feel the glory of its spirit
Surround us with love
Let us go forth with the knowledge
It imparts to the world
Let us sit in silence
Hearing the leaves speak as the flow
As the story unfolds.
