On the shores of Sable I stand
As the wind wisps by me
Huddled in my innocence
Unaware of the vastness
Of the world at large
The days have stretched far
From yesterdays conflict
Into tomorrows unknown
A national treasure
Wild and undisturbed
Living in natural pleasures
Despite the harshness of the weather
I hear the rolling sea thunder
I see the sun on the horizon
I taste the sweetness of the earth
I feel the sand beneath my hooves
I smell the winds as they flow
While many ancestors have past
Here we stand in unity
Attesting to the days gone past
Although my coat has many colors
My sense of pride rings true
I am a French Acadian Canadian.
