Why is it fine for others to tell the truth But when I do, I'm spinning a story for my own benefit? I'm tired of being the bad guy I'm not bad I love too deeply I feel too much I'm sensitive to the things around me I have to tell the truth I don't have a choice in that It's the way I am Right down to my very core No wonder I don't truth too easily Why do people not realize when others spin a story? Just being it easier does make it true Just because you like the person talking doesn't mean they tell the truth Wake up, wake up, wake up! Wake up little Suzie, it's time to wake up People who get upset about a lie are not lying They are passionate about the truth The truth means something to them The truth will set you free The truth is the way to the Light It's a path to righteous The right path to be on One lie leads to another and another It is a path of many turns, hills, detours, dead ends and tragedy The Light shines from Heaven straight through to the earth It freely flows to each of us All we need to do is get outside and let the Light shine upon us Let the rays beam down through the clouds on a gloomy day On the days you are accused of spinning the wrong way Turn yourself around and go the right way Away from negativity and enjoy the Light.

Oh, it would be so easy to fall for that To spread the hate in the world It grows so fast all on its own It needs no incentive It stands silently smirking Making plans with itself as it stands solo It's so jealous of the Light Where people are genuinely loving Their glow is evident for all to see Some are blessed to be in the Light Others fear it, for it lies not It believes in truth, honor, justice and love You need only give your problems to the Light And let it be, go on your way, look back not All will be taken care of For the highest good of all involved Divinity is above our understanding The Light hurts no one The Light is truth The Light of honorable The Light is just You need only trust it Fear not for it will revive you Retaliation is for sinners, not saints Love has no end in the Light The Light keeps on shining You need only see the sun and the moon to know that And while some believe in the big bang Maybe, just maybe God used that to get our attention It had to be louder than our sorrows But louder than that still is the beauty before us The awes of nature The roaring of the water Be still and you can hear the Light As it passes through the leaves Sending messages to all who stop by it Humanity's road is no competition for the Light Let your eyes feast upon the daylight And know that when darkness falls It is the Light that overcomes For no darkness can ever over shadow the beauty of the Light Don't waste your time on retaliation Spend your time instead, in the comfort of Divine Light. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
Oh how its web spins the truth Each section carefully thought out As the prey enters innocently The venom is dangerously close Waiting, wanting......and then it strikes Each blow delicately placed before the next Carefully treading its way to the heart Secretly telling the sweet nothings And oh so charmingly does it talk Life a goddess she walks But underneath the stealth ways Is a heart of hurt and disrepair Instead of mending herself She sets out to destroy the world around How easily it is to work on oneself A deep satisfaction of coming into your own Instead of left hollow as victory has no win Her emptiness only leads to more destruction Eventually to herself and the world around Concentrate instead on the Light within Let it glow brighter and brighter still Pay no heed to those who take offense For those not of the Light will try their best They will mock you, spread deceit about you They will turn on you in your time of need They will see the vulnerable state coming It is then that they act For no one but them should be in the spotlight They are seekers and suckers out of life For all situation that don't benefit them They will gain your confidence and information Only to use it for their own benefit Seek not to enter the web Instead run Run as fast as you can But at all times tell the truth For the truth will set you free The truth overcomes manipulation in the end Those left in the dust will eventually find their way out of the shadow Or get sucked into more of the same The Light needs not to manipulate It is loving, kind, compassionate toward all It take no hostage, it mends the broken It waits for you to accept it, it attacks not It surrounds you with love, not hate It teaches, not takes away It shines so others will shine too Brightly shining for the greater good for all Not just one. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
Pat yourself on the back Before others steal your thunder Remember when it rains it pours Truth doesn't operate like that It has no need for deceit And those that believe it Have no respect for themselves or others The road of deceit of paved with more of the same Life is much more satisfying with truth It has no confusion or complication It doesn't crumble and fall apart It stands tall in the Light Brightly shining despite the spite of others. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
As Hansel and Gretel walked down the path of life They grew wiser as a result of those around them Once trusted friends, now frenemies in life Once fooled, now twice as much on alert The light bulb illuminated becomes brighter The truth always shines brighter than deception As the sweetness of deception draws closer The sweetness of intuition grows stronger Trust your inner knowing Let it lead you until the rest of the truth come to light Stand tall, be confident, continue on your path Retaliation and revenge have no place As they will land you in the gutter That's not where life is leading you Take the higher road less travelled Listen to the sweet promises of others But know that actions speak louder than words Forgiveness is a virtue Your place is not to judge, it is to be judged Something we do to ourselves all too harshly Let Him do with them as He wishes For it is His place to judge us Go about your path gracefully and truthfully Let the light guide you For He is walking with you All the days of your life Look around for the miracles of life His presence is everywhere Have faith in His love within you Instead of standing in your ego Share the love you share with Him with others. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
My Momma taught me to fly Fly like an eagle Fly high in the sky Let your tips touch the clouds As you pick up speed in the current Take in the true blue of the sky My Momma taught me to fly Fly like an eagle Fly high in the sky Let yourself soar in the winds of change Come down and touch the earth Balance yourself to have a good life My Momma taught me to fly Fly like an eagle Fly high in the sky by Maria Lisa Polegatto
Being new in the world is a fabulous thing Enter with grace and continue on that basis Allow the world to help find ways of being It's ok to strive to raise yourself up Step softly and scan the horizon Footprints should be gentle as to not destroy the foundation Come in greeting those who have gone before you As they wish to greet you too to help you find your way Both have knowledge that can help the other The future should be based on success for all Raising each other up, both old and new That's when the world enters a new phase of growing Lifting the vibration to joy and prosperity for all The foundation will strengthen beyond measure As each petal of the flower reaches out to the sun The grace of God will have much favour Knowing the path is strewn with growth There will always be those who wish on fault and deceit The truth is always there for those who wish to see it The Light can shine on its own But it shines much more brightly when joined with others Others that have a common goal that benefits all Be the Light that shines in the world to help others Be the Light for truth and justice Be the Light for growth and prosperity for all Build the foundation with grace So when the world shirks and shakes The foundation becomes stronger. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
Some say God He is a figment of your imagination I say God He is a Saviour and leads my soul to Him Some say God He allows our dying I say God is the way to truth in this world Some say God does not care for us I say God he loves his children more each day Some say God is cruel and mighty I say God is weeping with sorrow for our sins Some say God He is not real I say God is everywhere open your eyes my child Open your heart my child Open your ears my child As his winds flow endlessly See the tree tops glisten while everyone listens To the wind that blows through the branches and ice cracks and falls Just as he lifts us from the wreckage right before our fall Some say God keeps on giving I say yes, yes to Him The Lord is good, the Lord is great The Lord is everything we are Follow Him to truth and justice Follow Him for love Some say God is a figment of our imagination I say God He is a Saviour that goes on still Some say God they don't understand Him standing by as we weep I say trust and He will be there Have faith in His Love I trust and have faith in His Love for our soul I say trust and have love for one another As he has for us Have love for one another as He has for us I say love it is in Him Free to give to us I say love it is in the silence Reach in and feel its power Reach in and feel its power and love I say His love it is a river that flows endlessly I say God is my Saviour today and every day I say God is my Saviour today and every day I say God is my Savour and leads me home to him I say God is my Savour and leads me home to him He leads us home to Him I say God is a Saviour and I follow him everyday. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
I saw your hate for me today I saw it in your eyes I heard it in your voice I felt it in my soul The downward spiral you could no longer hold As you lashed out at me You could not stand even the sight of me You tried to erase me with your wrath Your true colors shone through Emotions are irregular but this was more than that Kindness is a personality Not just for a fleeting moment I felt sorrow in my soul for yours For hating someone is akin to hating yourself Kindness needs to exist even after you get what you want It is greeting someone's soul with yours I prefer to stay in the state of love It's so much more inviting there My heart is lighter here As I feel the warmth of the Light I've taken your clue and gone the other way I'll be more cautious approaching you in future Alas it is not my place to judge you As I'm busy judging myself already all too harshly. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
When love enters your home my Lord I am home with you I feel your love my Lord Surrounding me still I will always love you Forever and ever My heart is true to you my Lord I love you, I love you, I love you true Into my home my Lord Come into my home Come stay with me You are my refuge My safety and protection I am home my Lord I am home with you Lord. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
I believe, I believe, I believe I believe in you Lord You are the ocean of forgiveness The winds of many change I believe, I believe, I believe I believe in you Lord You fill me with gratitude As Your love surrounds me I believe, I believe, I believe I believe in you Lord Your bountiful harvest in nature Through you I find my way in your world. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
Some people will try to make you feel you are not enough When in reality you are more than enough You are not better than anyone else You are more than they treat you as They want to hold you back Hold you down for their own purpose Instead of lifting you up more They let their ego stand in the way They can't admit to themselves or you That you are doing well You are right where you are meant to be Be kind, be real, be you, keep going Let them deal with themselves on their own Just remember..... You are better than they treat you Head up, keep walking Pay them no attention One day they will realize They should have treated you better It's their karma, not yours. by Maria Lisa Polegatto As I swim through the ocean Once tranquil and free The world whizzes over the top of me No thought, no care for my family As I gulp and take a breath Dodging hulls, I dive deep My offspring I fear for them They can't stay under as long as I can We breathe like humans, both mammals, but so far apart As I try to engineer the sea They engineer ships bigger than me With blades that run right over me Gone are the days I was once feared Sea Monsters of the past Now becoming fables of the future Please don't let it be More fish I help to produce But they blame me for emptying the fish in the sea Yes, I eat lots but nature needs and feeds me Some of us actually eat plankton and microscopic crustaceans I offer my services for free Ocean engineers are we I sequester carbon so you can breathe Even as I fall to the sea floor I pump nutrients a plenty And stir up the waters so species can eat My movements have a big worth One drop, one ocean, one Earth I travel the ocean globally With my young in tow Leaping and breaching as I go Escaping the ocean noise My pod is unique We have our own sound We sing through the ocean By vibrating our ear drums Our huge hearts beat We are made for the sea That surrounds us in blue Once tranquil and free We are held hostage in our own home As noisy monstrosities ram into us As we come to the surface to breathe Cruising the ocean was meant for me I'm not as fast as I'd like to be To move out of the way as you speed toward me I sleep at the warmth of the surface As the null of the hull rushes toward me We have seen to the very depths Man might never ever see Time is running out, not just for me Climate is changing too fast, without more of me We are trying to repopulate Humans please understand We are here by the grace of God He watches over us The time is now Our benefits are mighty We can't do it on our own Please, release the stresses We all need to coexist Slow down and see the beauty It's all around you Stop and take a minute One drop, one ocean, one Earth More whales, full ocean, happy Earth Carbon sequestered, oxygen surpassed Please, let me breathe. bit.ly/deepdivewithwhales

There once was a horse named Mabel She came from an Island called Sable She was wild and very able Her Two Rivers barn had a gable While she had French Acadian heritage, she wore no labels She loved to eat from a bowl on the ground not a table I never want her to become a fable Oh how I miss sweet Mabel. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
For people who are trained to know better Conflict is a positive thing Airing out the changes needed to be made But when lies overshadow No truth can be seen But it exists to those who tell it Even to those who are oblivious To the lies fed to them Building up daily Until the next attack strikes fast A day's wage for a day's work Apparently that's old news for old views As today's world takes everything it can Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick...... Let the torture begin If that doesn't work, let's try again Something more devious Let's lie and swear to it That's the new game Only the ill willed will fall to it's use Stand tall and be you His truth comes forward It rushes not for there is more to be told The crumbs lead back to the liar Eat not from the toxin Prayer is what keeps you close to His truth Pray for you and also for them Absolve yourself from their sin Restore yourself Hold your shield high His Truth surrounds you Let God deal with this as only He can. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
The lure of manipulation kids me not I am no stranger to its plots and drama That then soon unfolds for all to see The truth sets me free to carry on in the Light Unencumbered by darkness lurking in the shadows waiting to strike After its careful deliberation and planning to set the trap The Light protects me and warns me still Danger! Warning! Danger! Proceed ahead with caution! Although my need for truth has allowed me to speak it I hear the lies that change as stories are told I stand back and take the best defense Wait it out and let the truth be seen, heard and known For the Light will win out Even darkness knows the time will come when they need to move on There is no place for even a hint of seduction in the Light For love has its boundaries It reaches out, envelops the darkness and fills it with Light Like sunrise on the first morning He opened our eyes Behold the beauty He has laid out before us Fill your life up with His love It is up to us to see it, feel it Be it! by Maria Lisa Polegatto
Published in The Edge Magazine While it was foggy along the shoreline The loon call I did hear I called out and it answered me The seagulls gossipped as they heard They knew it was me as they floated near They knew not the loons and I are old friends As the clouds turned dark and drew near They humored me as I mimicked their voices Delighted to be heard and understood Not a rain goes by they don't come around I standing on the shoreline wait for them As their voices echo inside my memories Seeing them dive deep and resurface As the paddle of my kayak dripped dry Waiting for their next warning "Take cover, rain is coming! Gather your young and drink" For He has sent forth to feed His flock A soft mist upon my face begins I heed it not Until I hear the last tremolo cry. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
A note in a bottle Once a romantic notion How far can it travel? It travels from sea to sea Creating havoc of world pollution How long does it last? Its destruction lasts for eternity Without life-sustaining nutrition How does wildlife live? It lives in terror of plastic A fatal blow on comsumption What can we do about it? Humanity take note When marine life is gone So are we! Clean up or no tomorrow. by Maria Lisa Polegatto

And when I walk the road alone I know that I am never alone For Thou art with me Lord All the days of my life Your sword and your staff Stand tall and firm Protecting me from all life's perils Thank you Lord For all life's blessing come from You From you alone as I travel. by Maria Lisa Polegatto
Divided we sit alone Ends of the bench so cold Growing farther apart and away United we sit together The middle is so much warmer Our hearts beat together as one Pick up your ego and throw it away Search out calm waters and look ahead Home is the castle we live in together. |
